At Scar House Gardens, come and discover an enchanting array of over 20 differently styled gardens. A private garden created by Nuala & Paul, we open Friday, 29th of May 2026. Because of limited parking, booking is necessary. Each garden blends an eclectic style of landscaping, planting and art to create magical spaces that bend the rules of traditional beds and borders.
Our inspirational gardens include a wildlife pond, a peaceful Zen inspired space with hand- crafted Torii gate, a vibrant raised bed kitchen garden, a charming bathhouse in the trees, a native Hawthorn crescent with firepit inset, a quaint shepherds hut in a willow glade and a serene Mediterranean garden with resident native bees. And many, many other garden rooms, corners, nooks and crannies to explore and experience.

We are open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday Mondays from 11am to 4pm.
Group bookings of 10 or more are welcome by appointment. Tickets are €10 per person, which includes tea/coffee and cake in the garden barn.
Group bookings also get a 10% discount on crafts available in the courtyard market, Made at Scar House. Contact us for more information.

Experience a Working Garden
At Scar House Gardens, we are constantly tweaking and improving our little oasis. We carry out all of the work ourselves. From the smallest handcrafted bird house to the landscaping and planting, we are constantly creating and crafting our unique garden spaces and decor. From planters to bird houses, everything we do is tested in our own garden by mother nature and the constant stream of wildlife that take refuge here. While you are visiting, you will find us hard at work, sculpting the grounds into beautifully designed pathways, water features, and outdoor living spaces. Visitors are welcome to engage with us, Nuala & Paul, to learn about our techniques and to gain inspiration for your own projects. The bustling atmosphere is a testament to the passion and dedication that goes into maintaining and enhancing the natural beauty of Scar House Gardens.
